One of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had, delicious and great portions. Had the chicken tok jal mishti, was sweet with a good amount of spice. Shangri La special mixed starter also beautiful.

We visited Shangri-la in Blyth for the first time last night, we had a party of 5. The booking process online was straightforward and had a lovely round table in a booth. The staff were very welcoming on our arrival and the drinks order was taken quickly. On reading the menu we realised that in addition to the main menu they also did a set menu on a Thursday, 4 courses for 18.50 so we all opted for this. The food was amazing it's been a long time since I've said that about a restaurant and we will definitely be returning. The decor was beautiful and you can tell they have taken a lot of pride in it, the seats were very comfortable and the restaurant had a lovely ambience. Over the whole night the only negative we had was they didn't have decaf coffee but I'm sure they will take this on board for the future. You definitely need to add Shangri-la to your list.

Called last Thursday, 13th March, with "we'll give it try" sort of attitude and are we glad we did ,it was superb. They also had a deal on for Thursday night's so we took advantage of that and it was extremely good value, far too much for us to finish so it was neatly packed in food containers no problem. Very happy ,unfortunately it's about 160 miles from where we live otherwise it would be our new go too restaurant.

Got food delivered. Best Indian food I've had in a long time since I moved into the area. Delivery guy got lost a bit but food still Piping hot. Would definitely get again. Only thing is no paper menu so we can have a proper look at menu. Not everyone has Internet.

4 Man walk in at 9.15 pm. Pleasant greeting from Fazz asked if we could wait while he prepped a table, 5 mins later we are being seated at a good sized table for 4 blokes. Ordered drinks which arrived quickly and handed menus. Plenty of time to look over menus and subsequently ordered staters and main course. Poppadoms and pickles arrived sampled the roasted and spicy along with the normal all very nice. Asked if we were ready for mains and they duly arrived and we tucked in. The meals were flavoursome and tasted as they should very nice indeed. Staff were friendly and efficient the restaurant was full. All four of us will return a great night by all would recommend a visit

Absolutely stunning inside.. great friendly atmosphere food amazing.. cocktails perfectly made .. definitely the best restaurant in blyth .. outstanding.. definitely be back

Lovely friendly welcome. Tables set out well. Good atmosphere. Menu had all you expected and more. Food was authentic, plentiful and delicious! Best lamb I've had in years. Prices worth every penny.

8 of us Gentleman had Our monthly Curry club in this beautiful venue last Wednesday evening and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.. food was definitely the best we've had,, We were looked after impeccably by Faz who we hadn't seen for ages and honestly can't rate this restaurant high enough thank you!!! we will most certainly be back OUTSTANDING!!!
